辞职就完事儿啦？

这两天，美国的一名前官员“火了”。

这人名叫柯思伦(Cade Cothren)，之前的职务可以称为田纳西州众议院长的高级助手。

他辞职的原因每一条都很可怕：1、种族歧视；2、滥用毒品；3、性骚扰实习生。

总之，整个人劣迹斑斑。

In texts sent during April 2015, Cothren solicited oral sex on one occasion and nude photos another time from an intern. He also asked her whether she was wearing underwear and attempted to pivot the topic of a conversation to orgasms.

在2015年4月，柯思伦给一个实习生数次发短信，向她索要裸照，并要求oral sex (太龌龊了我就不翻译了……)。他还问她是否穿了内裤，想着把聊天话题转向某个高潮。

He also suggested in 2014 texts that he would continue "hitting on" another intern, and made sexual advances to a lobbyist in 2016.

在2014年，柯思伦还发过色情短信，暗示自己将继续“挑逗”另一个实习生，还在2016年试图性骚扰一名说客。

姑娘们试想一下，如果你的公司（或学校）出现了这样一个言行猥琐的“色情狂”，你还不得不每天和他打交道……你害不害怕？

有媒体将他发过的下流短信做了一个概括：

- soliciting oral sex and naked photos from an intern

- suggesting he would make sexual advances toward another intern

- seeking sex with a lobbyist

- referring to another woman as a “cunt”

- calling Metro police officers who gave him parking tickets “rent a cop cocksuckers.”

现在大家知道，这人能恶心到什么程度了吧（还没提他滥用毒品和种族歧视呢）

然而，接下来还有更令人发指的事情。

前面有提到过，柯思伦的职务是田纳西州众议院长的高级助手。

按理来说，遇到这么个恶心的下属，田纳西的众议院长应该早点“清理门户”才是。

但是没有。非但没有，这位名叫卡萨达(Glen Casada)的众议院长，反而还和自己的下属“一起下流”。

他们俩人间的短信，更是不忍直视……

In one of the messages to Casada, Cothren sent a photo of an upside-down woman next to a pole.

在发给上司卡萨达的一条短信中，柯思伦发了一张在竖杆边倒立的女人的照片。

Casada responded, “What about some pole dancing?” Casada also asked “Can I just touch????”

卡萨达回复道：“来点钢管舞怎么样？”又问：“我可以摸下她吗？？？”

Cothren responded, “Lol maybe just once.”

柯思伦回复道：“哈哈哈……也许只能摸一下。”

In another message to Casada about a sexual encounter he had at a restaurant he texted: “Just so y’all know, I did f--k [woman’s name] in the bathroom. Will send pictures later.”

在发给卡萨达的另一条短信中，柯思伦提到了他在餐厅里的一次性行为：“告诉你哈，我在洗手间里上了XXX（女人的名字）。我等下发照片给你。“

Casada responded: “Only gone for 60 seconds. R u a minute man???;)”

卡萨达回复到：“才过了60秒啊。你是秒she男吗？？？”

Cothren said, “Yes, I take after you. Like father like son.”

柯思伦还击：“是啊，继承你的衣钵嘛。有其父必有其子。“

The speaker responded, “Lolol! If I’m happy, then all is good!!!!!"

卡萨达又回复道：“哈哈哈哈！老子开心就好！！！！”

……满屏污言秽语，不堪入目，这哪像是一个州的众议院院长和高级助手？还以为是非法红灯区的常客呢

目前的消息是，因为性骚扰实习生，以及滥用毒品和涉嫌种族歧视的言行，柯思伦本人已经辞职了。

也就是辞职而已。

而他的上司——众议院长卡萨达，不仅啥事儿也没有，还各种帮着柯思伦说话：

After Cothren's resignation, House Speaker Glen Casada, House Majority Leader William Lamberth and House GOP caucus chairman Cameron Sexton all issued a statement.

在柯思伦辞职后，众议院长卡萨达、众议院多数党领袖兰伯斯和众议院共和党党团会主席塞克斯顿发表了一份声明。

Lamberth said he was "shocked and disappointed" to learn of the allegations involving Cothren.

（在声明中）兰伯斯说，听到这些涉及柯思伦的指控他十分“震惊和失望”。

Casada thanked Cothren for his service.

卡萨达则是感谢了柯思伦的工作和付出。

Cothren, a longtime staffer for Casada, was named chief of staff in January and earned a salary of $199,800, the third highest for a legislative employee.

柯思伦在卡萨达手下工作过很久。今年1月他被任命为高级助手（类似于办公室主任），已成为当地众议院薪水第三高的人：年薪19.98万美元。

After that story, Casada defended Cothren, who he noted worked for him for 10 years.

即使在被媒体报道揭发之后，卡萨达依然在为柯思伦辩护，强调后者已经为他工作了10年。
